What is Riot Points?

How can I earn Riot Points
Here is how you can get Riot Points from the League of Legends client.
In-game
- Log in to your client.
- Click on the icon that looks like it has a stack of coins. It is located to the right of your Summoner’s name, at the top of the screen.
- Once you have done this, click on the “PurchaseRP” tab at the top of the page.
- The landing page will then change. You’ll first need to choose your purchase method. Next, you’ll need the Riot Points amount you want.
- Clicking on one of the Riot Point choices will bring up a prompt to enter your card details. Then click “Pay Now” for the final step.
- You’ll see the Riot Points in your account immediately. They will be located at the top right of the screen, next to the Blue Essence icon.
- You can now spend your money on whatever you like!
Gift cards
Riot Points can be purchased as gift cards. To claim them, you will need to enter the code on the back of your card. This is a quick overview of the whole process.
- Click on the Store button within the client.
- Just to the right is the little present icon. Click the Account button.
- Choose the “Redeem Codes” category.
- Enter the code exactly as it appears on your card in the window, and then click submit.
