Warehouse shelving, also known as pallet racking and warehouse shelving, is a modern method of warehousing. It makes use of horizontal space to increase warehouse storage capacity. The warehouse is set up using shelves that are supported by upright frames and extend as high as the roof. The shelves are used to store the items and maximize the warehouse’s storage capacity. Warehouse shelving models ensure that warehouses are well-managed and organized with enough lighting through the open shelves. This makes stock taking and auditing much simpler. Roll-Form Selective Pallet Racking

The most popular type of racking is selective pallet racking. It involves load beams being placed onto an upright frame. These beams form shelves that can be loaded with items. The teardrop hole in the roll form of warehouse shelving is located on the upright framework, onto which the beams can be screwed. A clip is attached to the teardrop hole to secure the beams. You can easily adjust the clip along the teardrop hole to adjust either the beam upwards or down. This allows you to adjust the set-up to accommodate different sizes of items. The clip model is less strong than the bolt structural model.

Bolt In Selective Pallet Racking

The bolt-in warehouse racking uses beams that are fixed to the beans using a permanent bolting. The beam structure is more durable and can’t be adjusted to increase its size. This bolt is ideal for storage of a standard product or material. The bolt is more stable than the foll form pelleting and can store heavier materials.

Drive Through and In Pallet Racking

These pallets are designed to make it easy for forklifts and other equipment to drive into or through the warehouse. The drive through warehouse racking only has one entry point into the warehouse. The exit point is located on the opposite side of the warehouse. Forklifts can therefore drive through. This is ideal for FIFO warehousing. Drive-in, on the other hand, has only one entrance and exit. This is ideal for FILO.

Pushback Design

Push back warehouse shelving is a type of warehouse racking. It involves a beam that slopes upwards towards the loading point. The beam is lowered towards the loading point so that the materials can be loaded with a forklift. As loads are stacked side-by-side, this allows for maximum storage. This design reduces the work involved in pushing materials together as gravity pulls them towards the beam’s base. This design is ideal for FIFO because you can unload at the lower (or other extreme) end of the beam. You can also load and unload at the same place, which is called FILO.

Pallet Flow Design

Pallet flow warehouse racking design with complex railings and rollers beams that move the loads to the farthest point of the beam. The system can brake and load can be hung onto the rails instead of being placed on the beams.
